Internal infrastructure, not a public service
Sitenail renders screenshots of web pages for applications built by Find Your Net. It exists to serve those applications, and nothing else.
There is no sign-up, no account, and no form to put a page through. If you arrived here from a picture on one of our sites, that picture is what this service does: it photographs a page so the app showing it has something to display besides a line of text.
What uses it
- Link Adder, where a saved link's tile shows a picture of the page instead of a favicon.
- Other Find Your Net applications that need a preview of a page they link to.
Requests come from our own applications, for pages those applications were already pointed at. Nothing is crawled speculatively, and no page is captured unless one of our apps asked for it.
